Georgian-born fashion designer David Koma has long been enamored by the allure of powerful female performers. As he shared in an interview, the 15-year milestone of his brand inspired him to add a personal artistic touch by collaborating with his “first muse” – Lourdes Leon. “For a long time, I’ve been a fan of her beauty and I went to see her perform at The Standard’s cocktail bar, Sweeties, where everything that I thought of her before I met her was even more exciting,” Koma enthused. “She really delivered an amazing kind of art.”
The Resort 2025 campaign showcases Lourdes Leon effortlessly modeling David Koma‘s latest collection against a minimalist gray backdrop. The pieces she dons were inspired by the abstract work of sculptor Isabelle Albuquerque and body paint experiments of German model-turned-artist Veruschka von Lehndorff. One particularly notable image captures the musician in a bodysuit with a deer print and chain mail, striking a daring split pose. “It’s one of the coolest images — nobody expected it when she did the splits,” Koma marveled, clearly impressed by Leon’s ability to deliver the unexpected.
